Beautiful Ache

Our emotions and deepest fears are often a closed book. This project navigates mental health and self-expression through fragments, quotes, and illustrations by Sylvia Plath, Walt Whitman, and William F. Draper.
Their ideas, quotes, and creative expressions became a lens to see my own thoughts and feelings around depression and the way it is portrayed.
This experimental project also serves the purpose of a journal, where people could intervene and write about their desires, disappointments, and struggles.
Beautiful Ache seeks to embrace these fears and painful memories that can often be seen in much gentle light.
